Softball swept by a pair of Wisconsin schools in Clermont

Clermont, FL- The MCLA Softball team was held to just a pair of hits in the opening game this afternoon as they fell to Wisconsin Eau-Claire by a score of 8-0 today in Clermont.   MCLA dropped the nightcap to River Falls 5-2.  The Trailblazers drop to 1-7 on the season after the losses.

Game One

Eau-Claire scored a pair of runs in the first and then tacked on five more in the second inning to take command.  They would score a single run in the fourth inning to provide the final margin.

The MCLA offense could only muster a pair of hits in the contest.  Kayla Baker and Morgan Watson registered the only hits of the afternoon for MCLA.  

Kara Adams took the loss for the Trailblazers in game one.

Game Two

The Trailblazers dropped game two to River Falls 5-2.  River Falls scored a pair of runs in the first before putting the game away with three in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie.  MCLA scored a single run in the first inning on Kara Adams RBI hit.  They tied the game in the fifth on Kaylyn Holliday's RBI fielders choice.  

River Falls would rally though in the sixth tallying three runs.  The key blow was a leadoff home run.  

MCLA had six hits in the contest and Sam Feinstein absorbed the loss for the Trailblazers
