Clermont, FL- The MCLA Softball team couldn't must up any offense today at the Spring Games as they dropped a pair of games.  The Trailblazers fell to Lawrence 3-0 in the opener before falling to Loras 8-0 in the nightcap.  MCLA is now 1-5 on the season.

Game One- Lawrence 3 - MCLA 0

Lawrence got on the board in the bottom of the first inning as they loaded the bases with nobody out.  A Madeline MacLean single brought home the games first run, but MCLA starting pitcher Sam Feinstein retired the next two hitters to keep the inning in check.  With two outs, Emilia Jackson reached on an infield single scoring another run to increase the lead to 2-0.  Lawrence would leave the bases loaded however.

Lawrence would add another tally in the second on Ceara Larson's single to increase the lead to 3-0.

From there, the story was Jackson (1-1) off the mound.  She went the distance allowing just 5 hits and striking out six MCLA batters.  She allowed just two runners into scoring position all game.

She helped herself at the plate as well by going 3-3 with one RBI in the win.  Lawrence outhit MCLA 9-5 in the game.

The Trailblazers had five hits including a triple by Erika Quackenbush.  Feinstein (1-2) took the loss tossing the first five innings.

Game Two- Loras 8 - MCLA 0

Loras scored in every frame against MCLA to easily secure the victory.  They scored twice in the first inning and never looked back.  The Duhawks would add three in the second to seize control and lead 5-0.  They would tack on single runs in the next three innings to secure the mercy rule victory and improve to 5-7-1 on the season.

They outhit the Trailblazers 9-3 in the contest.

Loras' Bailey Monroe earned the win tossing three innings.  Taylor Donnell pitched the final two frames and struck out four Trailblazers.

MCLA's Kara Adams took the loss going the first three innings.  Adams, Erika Quackenbush, and Alanza Quinones were the only Trailblazers to get a base hit.
