WESTFIELD, Mass. - Senior midfielder Sidney Lambert (Hanover, Mass.) scored two goals, including the 200th point of her collegiate career, to lead the Westfield State University women's lacrosse team to a 17-2 victory over the MCLA Trailblazers Wednesday night.

The Owls spread the ball around, with eight players netting a goal and 13 different players recording a point in the contest.

Westfield got things going early, scoring the first three goals of the game within the first six minutes of action.

MCLA junior Kim Granito (Glenmont, NY) got one back with her 100th career point at 23:30 in the first half, but 3-1 was as close as the Trailblazers would get it.

Westfield State would go on to score the next eight goals of the game to break things open and head into halftime with a commanding 11-1 lead.

The Owls didn't slow down in the second half, extending the lead to 14-1 before the Trailblazers would score again.

Senior Marissa Nimekern (Hanover, Mass.) netted a team high five goals in the win, while Junior Maddie Bartkus (Marshfield, Mass.) chipped in with three goals and an assist.

Westfield dominated shots in this one, taking 24 compared to the Trailblazers three.   Granito finished with a pair goals to lead MCLA.

The Owls improve to 7-9 on the season with a 4-2 conference record, while MCLA falls to 1-10 with an 0-5 conference record.
