Senior Day- Josie Burlingame (Women's Lacrosse)

Today's profile is on MCLA Women's Lacrosse player Josie Burlingame.

Burlingame was set to begin her first season with the MCLA Women's Lacrosse program before the virus canceled their respective season.  Burlingame was poised to make her mark as a defender while also seeing time in the midfield.

The Health Sciences major, with a minor in Biology, is set to graduate this spring and already has post graduate plans in the works.  Burlingame plans to attend American International College (AIC) to pursue a Masters Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning.  

The Leicester, Massachusetts native was settling in to the women's lacrosse program.  Below are just a few of Burlingame's likes and future goals:

What is your favorite place to eat around North Adams: Tres Ninos

What is your favorite thing about MCLA?: The tight community

What do you miss the most about competing this Spring?: Learning the game of lax and bonding with teammates

What advice would you give other students in your program?: Know your weaknesses and get help using the many resources around campus. It's also okay to change paths, I did.

What are your plans after graduation?: Attending American International College to pursue a Master's in Exercise Science w/ a concentration in Strength & Conditioning.

Favorite professor and class at MCLA, elaborate why: Peter Hoyt; He is one of the most dedicated professors at MCLA and the most supportive advisor I've ever had.
