Women's Soccer announces 16 game slate, opens with five game homestand

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Soccer program will begin their season with the longest homestand of 2017.  The Trailblazer women will host five straight home games to begin the season kicking off with a September 2nd matchup against Rivier.  

MCLA then welcomes St. Joseph (VT), Sage, and Castleon to Shewcraft Field on September 5th, 9th, and 13th respectively.  The Trailblazers, under long time coach Deb Raber, will then host the MASCAC opener on Saturday, September 16th against Worcester State.  After the five game homestand, the Trailblazers then hit the road for four straight matches.

They will travel up to SUNY Poly on 9/19 before making the short trip to MASCAC rival Westfield State on 9/23.  MCLA will conclude the road trip with a tilt against SVC on 9/26 before closing out September with a Friday night match at Mass. Maritime on the 29th.

October opens with home games against Cobleskill on the 4th and Framingham State comes to town on the 7th.  Raber's troops will then have a week off before challenging Fitchburg State on the 14th and Albany Pharmacy on the 17th.  The Trailblazers welcome the Salem State Vikings to Shewcraft Field on the 21st and close out the home slate with a Monday night matchup with Nichols College on 10/23.

MCLA will wrap up the regular season with a long trip to Bridgewater State on 10/28.  The MASCAC playoffs will begin on Tuesday, October 31st.   Last season the Trailblazers finished 3-9-4 overall and 1-5-1 in the conference.
