North Adams, MA- The MCLA Trailblazers scored a pair of first half goals and controlled the majority of play as they cruised to a 7-0 win over the visiting SUNY Poly women's soccer team at Shewcraft Field.  The game was played in a driving rain as MCLA improved to 5-9 overall.  The Trailblazers have now won four of their last six contests.

The short-handed Wildcats dropped to 1-12-1 on the season.

Hannah Van de Water scored twice and collected a pair of assists to lead the team.  Lauren Mangiardi scored a pair of goals as well for MCLA, both in the second half.

In the opening half, MCLA took immediate control.  Kate Mancini notched her third goal of the season just 8 minutes into the action for an early 1-0 lead.  She took a nice feed from Meghan Dingman and converted into the upper left corner.

The Trailblazers increased the margin to 2-0 in the 27th minute of play.  This time, Carol Fagan would collect her first goal in an MCLA uniform.  The sophomore connected off a nifty flick from Hannah Van de Water to make it 2-0 as she easily bested Poly's Felicia Bianca.

Van de Water connected on a pair of goals just 30 seconds apart early in the second half to salt the game away.  Each of the goals came from nice through balls from Jess Halverson.  The goals were her team leading fifth and sixth of the season for Van de Water.

Mangiardi netted her goals in the 65th and 74th minutes of play while Cetera Moore added a goal in the 85th minute.
