Clark tallies 17 kills, however MCLA falls to Skidmore 3-1 in season opener

Saratoga Springs, NY- MCLA transfer Allison Clark collected a match best 17 kills, however the Trailblazers dropped the final three sets in falling to host Skidmore 3-1 this afternoon in the opener for both teams.  MCLA is now 0-1 while the Thoroughbreds are 1-0.

The Trailblazers took the opening set 25-18 before falling by the same margin in the second. Skidmore continued their solid play in the third winning 25-16 before pulling out the final set 27-25.

Skidmore was paced by Caitlyn Sprinkle who ended her day with 13 kills on 34 attacks.  Brittany Osborn tallied 11 kills while Clara Jones added 10.  Allie Dixon collected a match best 29 digs while teammate Marcila Familiar ended with 28.

Clark was the lone Trailblazer with double figure kills using 51 attacks to earn her 17 kills.  She added 20 digs.  Courtney Parent fed her all day long notching a match best 30 assists and 15 digs.  Chanielle Enomoto added 24 digs for MCLA.

The Trailblazers were hampered by 9 attack errors in the third set and hit at just .043.

MCLA is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Morrisville State for a tournament.
