Clark notches season highs with 18 kills and 26 digs, but MCLA Volleyball drops 3-1 decision to Anna Maria

Paxton, MA- The MCLA Volleyball program continued a long road trip this evening and came back with a 3-1 setback to Anna Maria.  The Trailblazers took the first set 25-18, but then dropped the next three by scores of 25-14, 25-22, and 25-22.

MCLA is now 7-8 on the season while the Amcats are now 10-6.

Allison Clark had a big night for MCLA setting season highs in kills and digs.  The senior notched 18 kills on 57 attacks and collected 26 digs in the loss.  Maggie Allen had a productive night with 14 kills on 32 attacks.  Beatrice Lechler had a season high 41 assists to lead the team.  

On the defensive side, Clark wasn't the only Trailblazer to pick up a high number of digs.  Rebecca Godbout added 22 digs, while Michele Laga added a season high 15 and Chanielle Enomoto added 13 as did Lechler.

For the Amcats, Amari King was their top performer on offense with a match best 22 kills.  Rebecca Foti added 10 kills to lead AMC.  Tierney Clancy added 34 assists on the offensive side.

Carolina Garcia notched 32 digs to lead AMC while King added 17 in the win.

MCLA will continue their road trip on Thursday when they travel to Regis College.
