Beckwith inducted into Berkshire County Volleyball Hall of Fame

Pittsfield, MA- Last Saturday, MCLA head volleyball coach Amanda Beckwith was inducted into the Berkshire County Volleyball Hall of Fame.  The inaugural class featured Beckwith alongside Mike Atkins and Phil Paul.  The ceremony was held at Bousquet resort in Pittsfield.

Beckwith was a two time MVP and captain for the Trailblazers before getting into coaching.  She began her career at Miss Hall's School before becoming a Trailblazer assistant.  In 2006, she became head coach at MCLA.  Over the past two seasons, Beckwith has guided the Trailblazers to back to back appearances in the MASCAC championship game along with the program's first ever regular season title and a berth into the ECAC New England Championships.

She was named the MASCAC and New England Coach of the Year in 2015 after setting school records for wins in a season.  Beckwith has been influential in Berkshire County running various clinics and helping out Volleyball coaches and players throughout the area.

With over 140 wins and 11 All MASCAC players to her credit, Beckwith continues to put MCLA on the map for Volleyball.  The Trailblazers will head back out on the court on September 1st when they open their season with a trip to the West Coast.
