Moczulski sweeps MASCAC honors
North Adams, MA- MCLA first year outside hitter Kelly Moczulski (New River, AZ) has swept the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference weekly awards sponsored by GEICO. Moczulski took home both the player and rookie of the week honors as she led MCLA to a 3-0 week. The honors are the first in a Trailblazer uniform for Moczulski.
Moczulski averaged 9.67 kills, 7.3 digs and four service aces with a .479 hitting percentage in a 3-0 week for the Trailblazers. She began the week with 10 kills, 10 digs, and five service aces in the 3-0 win over Mount Holyoke College. The first year player would follow up that performance with a great tri match on Saturday. She collected another 10 kills, eight digs, and four service aces in the 3-0 win over Norwich University before ending the week with nine kills, four digs, and three service aces in the 3-0 win over Dean College.
Moczulski and the Trailblazers have won three straight matches after starting the season at 0-3. They will look to get over .500 on Thursday night when they host Bay Path at 6pm.
