Volleyball wins five set thriller at New England College

Henniker, NH- The MCLA Volleyball team defeated the New England College Pilgrims in dramatic fashion as the Trailblazers held on for a 3-2 victory on the road.  The win, MCLA's seventh in eight tries, improves their record to 8-4.  The Pilgrims drop to 5-8.

NEC took the first set 25-18 before MCLA would rally and take the next two sets by scores of 25-23, 25-19.  The hosts would force a deciding fifth set by virtue of a 25-15 fourth set.  The Trailblazers would secure the win with a 15-13 victory in the final set.

Kelly Moczulski, the three time reigning rookie of the week, led the team again with 13 kills.  She would add 22 digs in the win.  Tessa Sestito would collect a double double of her own with 23 assists and 15 digs.  Houa Xiong led all Trailblazers with 26 digs in the win.

The Pilgrims were led by Dreka Griffin's match high 16 kills.  Tihani Ehia added 14 kills and 22 digs for the hosts.  Maggie Dadmun notched 27 assists while Kenzie Barron added 16.  

The Trailblazers are back in action at home on Friday night at 6pm when they host Mass. Maritime in MASCAC play.
