Moczulski sweeps MASCAC honors for second time this season

MASCAC Weekly Release

North Adams, MA- The awards have been piling up for Volleyball first year player Kelly Moczulski (New River, AZ).  The outside hitter was named the MASCAC player and rookie of the week as the conference announced their weekly awards this afternoon.  It marks the second time that Moczulski has swept both honors.  The first year player is no stranger to MASCAC accolades as she has received the conference's top rookie honor six consecutive weeks.

For the week, she averaged 14 kills and 16.6 digs in a 2-1 week for the Trailblazers.  She collected 15 kills and 15 digs with two aces in a 3-0 win over Sage Colleges.  Following that showing, she added 16 kills and 24 digs in a 3-2 win over Eastern Connecticut State University.  Moczulski would cap the week with 11 kills and 11 digs in the 3-0 setback to Keene State College.

She currently ranks second in the MASCAC in kills with 206.  She trails only Natalie Gillis of Worcester State in the rankings.  Moczulski also checks in at eighth in digs after collecting 193 to start the season.

Moczulski and the Trailblazers have an important week on tap as they host Framingham State tomorrow night at 6pm and host a tri match on Saturday.
