Women's Cross Country earns fifth place finish at Keene Invite

Keene, NH- The MCLA Women's Cross Country program continued their fall season this afternoon with a fifth place finish in the Keene State Invitational.  The result was MCLA's best of the season.  The hosts took the top team honors.

The Trailblazers were paced once again by Julie Gambill.  Gambill ran the 5k race in 22:01 to finish 20th overall, her best finish of the season.  First year runner Jenna Berg finished second for MCLA with a time of 27:55, good for 33rd.

Breanna Castor was right behind Berg in 34th place.  Kaitlin Gevry and Hunter Schrade also ran for MCLA.

Keene took three of the top four spots in the race.  Lauren Perkowski won the race with a time of 18:47 for the Owls.  

MCLA is back at it next weekend competing in the James Early Invitational hosted by Westfield State.
