Bio

Caruso was a highly recruited player out of Silver Lake High School and hails from Pembroke, MA.  He was a high school All American who settled on starting his collegiate career at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Mass.

After two years at Massasoit, Caruso decided to enroll at NASC and play soccer in North Adams.

Caruso played two years after transferring into NASC and made an indelible impact.  During his first season in 1995 under hall of fame head coach Ron Shewcraft, Caruso was an NSCAA All New England back anchoring a defense that qualified into the ECAC tournament.  Caruso was a first team All MASCAC choice as a junior and saved his best season statistically for his senior season.

As a senior, Caruso went on the offensive.  He would tally 8 goals and 3 assists in 1996, up from two goals as a junior.  The Pembroke, MA native once again was the focal point of opposing game plans as he finished out his two year stint.  Once again he was rewarded by being named All MASCAC.

Caruso was named team MVP in 1996 for his efforts with input from his head coach and the utmost respect from his teammates.  According to Coach Shewcraft, “ Caruso was one of the best players I’ve ever coached who had a tremendous passion for the game of Soccer,”….Pretty high praise from a fellow hall of famer!

After his playing career had ended, Caruso became an assistant coach for a year before turning back his attention to playing.  He moved to Scotland to play soccer and trained with the Scottish Premier League team Hibernian.

When that experience finally ended, Caruso came back home and went into construction sales.  He currently serves as the Northeast Sales Manager of Selena USA, which is the third largest manufacturer in the world for one component polyurethane foam.

Caruso is a father of three and is getting married to his fiancé Tina Sylvia in 2018.
