Baseball drops 11-1 decision to Lancaster Bible at RussMatt

Auburndale, FL-- Lancaster Bible's Andrew Workman tossed six innings with 12 strikeouts to lead his Chargers past the MCLA Trailblazers 11-1 this afternoon in the RussMatt Invitational.  The Chargers are now 4-6 overall while MCLA dips to 2-6.

LBC struck for a pair of runs in the first inning off MCLA starter Joseph Cambareri.  They would quickly add three more in the second and another in the third to take an early 6-0 advantage.

Cambareri would start the fourth but LBC would chase him as they plated three more runs to stake themselves to a 9-0 lead.

MCLA would finally get a run back off of Workman in the fifth inning on a fielders choice from Ty Mazzeo.  Lancaster would answer however in the bottom half of the inning and then tack on the games final run in the eighth inning to trigger the mercy rule win.

LBC outhit MCLA 13-5 in the contest.  Isaiah Mack led MCLA with a pair of hits on the afternoon.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Tuesday when they take on Gallaudet at Lake Myrtle Park.
