Rachiele selected to ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region First Team
2023 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region Teams Release
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Austin Rachiele (Pittsfield, MA) collected another postseason award this morning as the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) senior outfielder was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA DIII All-Region 2 First Team. Yesterday Rachiele was named to the 2023 D3baseball.com Region 2 First Team and earlier this month Rachile was voted the 2023 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Year.
Rachiele's led the MASCAC this past season in batting (.453), home runs (14), hits (63-which tied the MCLA program record), triples (4), total bases (127-which set a new program record), as well as on base percentage (.550) and slugging percentage (.914). He also scored 53 runs (new program record), had 40 RBI, and drew 28 walks while stealing 17 bases.
Mitchell College outfielder Dougie DelaCruz was named as the Region Position Player of the Year while Region Pitcher of the Year honors went to Endicott College senior ace Gabe Van Emon.
