Amherst, MA- The host Amherst College men's basketball team received 21 points from Grant Robinson as they rolled past the MCLA Trailblazers 100-38 in the opening game of the Ken Wright Invitational.  The Mammoths remain perfect on the season at 3-0.  MCLA dips to 1-4 overall.

MCLA never had a chance in this one as Amherst jumped out early and never looked back.  The Mammoths held MCLA to 16% shooting in the opening half as they ran out to a commanding 46-19 halftime lead.  Not much changed in the second half as Amherst showed their depth and pulled away to the easy win.

Amherst shot a torrid 55% from the floor which included a 16-34 performance behind the arc.  They forced MCLA into 16 turnovers and held them to just 15% (10-65) from the floor.

No Trailblazers were in double figures Hayden Bird led the team with 8 points.  Dylan Morris-Gray added 7 while Brian Perez had 6 off the bench.

MCLA awaits their opponent in the consolation round tomorrow.  The Trailblazers will face the loser of SUNY-Geneseo and Rutgers-Camden.
