2023 Williams Invitational Results

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.— Wrapping up a very busy week the MCLA Golf team participated in the two-day Williams Invitational over the weekend at the Taconic Golf Club.

Babson College took the team event with a two-round total of 582 (+14), ten strokes clear of second place Trinity College (CT) who turned in a 592 (+24). Gustavus Adolphus finished third with a 594 (+26). The Trailblazers improved by four strokes on Sunday over their opening round and finished in 22nd place with a combined team score of 676 (+108).

Gustavus Adolphus junior Jack Reinardy (141, -1) held off Babson College graduate Sean Fitzgerald (142, E) by a single stroke to claim medalist honors. MCLA's Matt Gover led the Trailblazers with a two-round total of 156 (+14) tying for 57th place. Trailblazer Alex Ferris was seven strokes better in round two posting an 81 while teammate Paul Roeder shaved five strokes off his opening round score turning in an 86 on Sunday.

MCLA is off until next weekend when they compete in another two-day event at the Castleton Invitational beginning on Saturday at the Rutland Country Club.
