Gover Captures Fourth Title at Brett Williamson Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass.— Reigning MASCAC Player and Freshman golfer of the Week Matt Gover shot a one-over par 72 today to capture his fourth individual title of the season at Westfield State's Brett Williamson Invitational at the Tekoa Country Club.
Gover was 2-under over his last nine holes to solidify the win over Dean College's Michael Keefe (74), Eastern Connecticut's Chris Davidson (76) and Rhode Island College's Jasper Bruin-Slot (77).
The Trailblazers as a team finished tied for second place with New England College with combined scores of 325. Eastern Connecticut State University finished first with a score 321.
MCLA's Alex Ferris tied for 6th with an 80 while teammates Paul Roeder (86), Cody White (87) and Landry Laird (95) all had strong rounds.
The Trailblazers next compete in the Castleton Invitational this Saturday and Sunday at the Rutland Country Club.
