Gover Headlines All-Conference Team Claiming Player and Rookie of the Year Honors; Ferris Named to Second Team

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— After their impressive runner-up performance in last weekend's 2023 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championship, the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Golf team has placed two freshmen on the All-Conference Team. Mat Gover, who won the individual championship earned First Team honors and was named as both Player and Rookie of the Year. Alex Ferris, who finished tied for 9th was named to the All-MASCAC second Team.

Joining Gover on the 2023 All-Conference First Team is Amir Adonlino, Nick DeMaio and David Girouard of Springfield and Ethan Doyle of Salem State.

On the Second Team are Alex Ferris of MCLA, Danny DiLisio and Henry Stonehouse of Salem State, Justin Acquarulo of Springfield and Jon Gastonguay of Worcester State. Joe Eadie of Springfield College was named the BSN Sports Coach of the Year as voted on by his peers.

Gover dominated this fall winning six individual titles (Norwich Invitational, MCLA Invitational, Tony Mariano Invitational, Brett Williamson Invitational, Castleton Invitational, MASCAC Championship) along with a runner up at the NEC Invitational in what proved to be a historic 2023 campaign for the Atkinson, New Hampshire native.
