Herrera earns MASCAC Player and Rookie of the Week

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Freshman Forward Cade Herrera (Brentwood, CA / Seahawks H.C.) has been named the MASCAC Player and Rookie of the Week. Framingham State's Trevor Stenberg (Mendham, NJ/ Jersey Hitmen) was named the Goaltender of the Week.

Herrera tallied four goals for eight points in a 1-1 week for the Trailblazers, including the third-period game-tying tally to set up the 3-2 overtime win at UMass Dartmouth. He followed that performance up with a hat trick in the 7-4 home setback to Plymouth State, with all three goals coming in the second period to cut the lead to 4-3. Herrera and the Trailblazers are back in action this Thursday when they travel to Salem State for a game at the Rockett Arena. The puck drops at 7 PM.
