Men's Lacrosse rolls to NAC win over Lyndon

Lyndon, VT- Nathan Haley scored a season best 8 goals and added 2 assists for a ten point afternoon in leading the Men's Lacrosse team to a convincing 19-4 win over NVU-Lyndon in NAC action today.  The game was a makeup from Tuesday.  MCLA is now 3-9 overall and 2-5 in the NAC.  NVU-Lyndon is 1-8 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

Haley tallied twice in the first quarter as MCLA built a 3-1 advantage over the Hornets.  MCLA took control by outscoring the hosts 5-0 in the second quarter.  Matthew Wallace started the second quarter surge converting a Tom Irwin feed.  John Hankel then scored the first of his two second quarter markers.  Additional goals from Haley and Irwin made it 8-1 at the half for MCLA.

In the third quarter, Haley continued his strong play by recording two more goals as MCLA maintained an 11-2 lead at the end of three.

Lyndon closed to within 12-4 early in the fourth, but MCLA would close the game on a 7-0 run as Haley and Irwin combined for four of those goals to pull away.

Haley needed 20 shots to record his monster day.  Hankel ended with four goals while Irwin and Wallace each recorded three apiece.

Boden Dock recorded the win stopping five shots in the win for MCLA.

The Trailblazers will challenge Thomas on Saturday as part of Senior Day.  Faceoff is set for 3pm.
