Men's Soccer earns 2-0 shutout win over NVU-Lyndon

Lyndon, VT- MCLA's Cola Bean scored a goal and added an assist in leading the Men's Soccer team to a convincing 2-0 win over NVU-Lyndon this afternoon in non-league play.  The Trailblazers improve to 3-5-1 overall.  NVU-Lyndon sits at 1-9.

The Trailblazers took control early as Bean converted just 1:54 into the contest.  He would net his fifth goal of the season as he took a cross from Francis Matonga for the early lead.  The score would remain that way until the 32nd minute.  Bean once again had a hand in the scoring play.

This time, Junior Florent would take a give and go from Bean and knock one past NVU's Brett Roy to increase the margin to 2-0.  The marker was Florent's second of the season.

MCLA would keep the advantage until halftime.  The Trailblazers held a sizable 15-1 shot edge in the opening half.

In the closing half, MCLA wouldn't score, however they once again controlled play with a 10-1 shot margin.  

MCLA's Ryan Taylor earned his first career win in goal.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Friday when they travel to Framingham State to continue conference play.
