Men's Soccer nipped by Keene State 1-0 in non-conference action

North Adams, MA- The visiting Keene State Men's Soccer team got a goal from Nicolas Dalesio in the 69th minute to lift the Owls past the MCLA Trailblazers 1-0 this evening in non-league action from Shewcraft Field.  The Owls improve to 4-6-3 on the season with the win.  MCLA dips to 4-8-1 overall.

The first half was scoreless as Keene owned a slim 11-8 shot advantage.  Both teams had chances to break the ice but couldn't find the back of the net.

In the second half, Keene's Dalesio finally broke through.  He would corral a through pass from Clinton Mungeta and rip a shot into the lower right corner for his third goal of the season.

MCLA had a few chances down the stretch, but ultimately could not find the equalizer.

Keene's Gavin Fitzpatrick stopped four shots to earn the win while Sam Edge collected 8 saves for MCLA.

The Owls owned a 20-13 edge in shots in the contest and a 6-2 mark in corners.

MCLA is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Salem State for an important MASCAC matchup.
