Women's Basketball stumbles in season opener at Eastern Naz. 77-31

Quincy, MA- The MCLA Women's Basketball program began a new era this afternoon as head coach David Bostick coached his first game as a Trailblazer.  Unfortunately, Eastern Nazarene had all the answers.

The Lions (2-0) sprinted past the Trailblazers 77-31 to earn their second win in as many days.  MCLA starts the Bostick era at 0-1.

Eastern Naz took command early as they sprinted out to a 26-7 lead after one quarter of play.  They would increase the margin to 43-16 at halftime.  The Lions were never threatened over the closing quarters to cruise to 2-0.

ENC placed four players in double figures led by Tyra Davis' game best 16 point effort off the bench.  She was 8-16 from the floor.  Joining her in double figures were Sydni Oviatt and Sophia Torres with 12 points apiece.

The Lions shot a solid 47% from the floor in the win.

For MCLA, Hannah Mazzeo scored 12 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in defeat.  She was the only Trailblazer in double figures.  MCLA was hampered by 26% shooting and 27 turnovers.

The Trailblazers will seek their first win next week when they challenge Elms on Thursday night.
