Women's Basketball has slow start in loss to Cobleskill

Cobleskill, NY- The host Cobleskill women's basketball team sprinted out to a 22-2 lead after one quarter of play and cruised home with an 82-35 win over the MCLA Trailblazers in non league action tonight.  The Fighting Tigers improve to 3-4 on the season while MCLA is now 0-6.

Cobleskill's Hannah Cater and TyLysa Martinez each ended with a game best 14 points in the win.  Annie Canales and Sierra Delaney chipped in with 12 apiece.

The Fighting Tigers shot an impressive 53% while holding MCLA to just 21% from the floor.

The Trailblazers were paced by Shannon Carney's team high 10 point night.  Hannah Mazzeo added 6 points but pulled down 14 rebounds.

MCLA could not overcome the shooting woes and 23 turnovers.

The Trailblazers are off until Monday night when they return to the Amsler Campus Center to face Wentworth at 5pm.
