NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team earned their first win of the season this afternoon against Lesley University. 27 points from Kristie Zator and a double-double from Hailey Peabody led the way to a 65-51 victory.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • MCLA opened the contest on a 13-1 run to set the tone as the lead would not get below five points for the remainder of the game.
  • Kristie Zator finished the game with a game-high 29 points on 13-22 shooting. She just missed a double-double, collecting nine rebounds. The 29 points is a career-high for Zator, topping her 21-point performance against Williams last year.
  • Hailey Peabody recorded her fifth career double-double, scoring 18 points and pulling down a career-high 19 rebounds, including 15 off the defensive glass. Peabody has had double-digit rebounds in each of her two last games, gathering 17 rebounds at Nichols on Wednesday.
  • Zaylee Ramos completed the trio of Trailblazers in double digits, also just missing a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Ramos also distributed a game-high six assists.
  • The Lynx were paced by their own trio of double-digit scorers, with Alexandra Kerly, Saniyyah Phillips, and Jordan Blair scoring 15, 13, and 11 points, respectively.
  • Kerley also finished with a double-double as she snared a game-high 22 caroms.
