WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The MCLA Women's basketball team traveled down Route 2 for a non-conference matchup with Williams College and came home without a win for the tenth time in a row against the Ephs. Zaylee Ramos paced the Trailblazers with 10 points, while the Ephs had three players reach double-digits, led by 16 from Arianna Gerig.

HOW IT WENT DOWN

  • Williams College enjoyed a bountiful post-Thanksgiving game, doubling MCLA in three of the four quarters and failing just in the first quarter when the Trailblazers scored their game-high 12 points in a quarter.
  • MCLA was held to only five points in the second quarter as the Ephs pulled away from the visitors to take a 44-17 lead into the locker room at halftime.
  • Zaylee Ramos set the standard for the Trailblazers, scoring 10 points and pulling down a team-high eight rebounds.
  • Kristie Zator saw her streak of double-digit point games snapped at three, finishing the game with five points, five rebounds, and a team-high three assists.
  • Arianna Gray led all scorers with 16 points on an 8-13 afternoon from the field, while Cortland McBarron fell just short of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
  • Izzy Sullivan completed the Eph's trio of double-digit scorers, adding ten points off the bench. The Ephs enjoyed a 38-2 advantage in bench scoring.
  • While the Ephs' Ellie Tounkara only scored five points, she was very involved in her team's offense, distributing ten assists and recording a game-high four steals.
