NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team dropped a non-conference matchup against the Anna Maria College AMCATS 68-55. Kristie Zator finished with a game-high 27 points, while Anna Maria got a double-double from Marinique Reddin with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The game was a story of two halves. Anna Maria held a two-point lead heading into the second period but really added on with a 20-point advantage on the second-quarter scoreboard, drubbing the Trailblazers 26-6.
  • MCLA would win the points battle in both of the quarters in the second half, out-scoring the visitors 32-23 in the second half, but the second-period advantage was just too much for the team to overcome.
  • Kristie Zator led all scorers with 29 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds. She also added four steals and an assist in a well-rounded effort.
  • Zaylee Ramos added 12 points, mostly on an 8-12 performance from the charity stripe. Ramos also had a game-high five assists and gathered six rebounds.
  • It was a game of crazy eights for Hailey Peabody, who scored eight points and pulled down eight rebounds while playing all 40 minutes. Zator and Ramos joined Peabody in playing all 40 minutes.
  • Anna Maria's Marinique Reddin set the standard for the visitors with her first double-double of the season, scoring 19 points and putting together a game-high 14 rebounds.
  • The AMCAT Arianna's joined Reddin in the double-digit club. Ariana Gonzalez had 13 points powered by a 3-5 performance from deep, while Arianna Saladini had 10 points and six rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.
