BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team took to the road for a MASCAC matchup at Bridgewater State this evening. Sophomore forward Kristie Zator crossed the double-digit points barrier for the 12th time this season for the Trailblazers, while the Bears had a quartet of players in double-digits.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • MCLA ran into a hot shooting Bridgewater team, particularly early as the Bears shot over 60% from the field in the first quarter to build up a 23-2 lead and never trailed in the game. Kylie Grassi scored nine of her game-high 18 points for the hosts in the first quarter.
  • Sophomore forward Kristie Zator led the Trailblazers for the seventh time in the last 10 games, scoring 11 points, including three three-pointers. Zator also finished with a team-high six rebounds.
  • Senior guard Maddie Teta had five assists to go with four rebounds for MCLA.
  • Freshman Kaylee Gray added eight points and a block in 18 minutes off the bench.
  • For Bridgewater, they had four players finish with double-digit points, led by Grassi with 18 points, and Jessica D'Amours with 12 points in only 15 minutes. Arielle Cleveland and Tori Andrewski rounded out the quartet with 10 points each.
