NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team continued their run conference play this afternoon when they welcomed Bridgewater State for a MASCAC matchup at the Amsler Campus Center Gymnasium. Hailey Peabody led the Trailblazers with ten points and pulled down eight rebounds. Bridgewater's Kylie Grassi led all scorers with 18 points, and the Bears remained undefeated in MASCAC play after coming away with a 59 to 23 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • MCLA was doomed by a frigid first half of shooting, making only one of their 18 attempts from the field before halftime, and went to the locker room trailing 24-4.
  • The third quarter was the high-water mark for the Trailblazers, with their output of 11 points being only one point short of their combined total for the other three quarters.
  • MCLA did find some success from the charity stripe, knocking down 15 of their 23 attempts, accounting for 65% of their point total.
  • Hailey Peabody was the only Trailblazer to cross the double-digit barrier, with ten points, including a four-for-five showing from the free-throw line. Peabody also gathered a game-high eight rebounds.
  • Bridgewater's Kylie Grassi led all scorers with 18 points, while Sydney Bradbury added 12 points, including three made three-pointers.
