Lozowchuk earns ECHA Rookie of the Week
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— First-year defender Natasha Lozowchuk (Canmore, AB/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame) has been named the ECHA Rookie of the Week. Anna Maria's Jordyn Bleaney (Nanoose Bay, BC/Vancouver Island Seals) and Sam Dahill (Littleton, MA/Assabet Valley) were named the Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week, respectively.
Lozowchuk registered three assists that helped guide the Trailblazers to their first two wins in program history. Lozowchuk's helpers included the game-winning goal on Saturday night. She also wrapped up the weekend with a +3 plus/minus rating in two games, in fact, her units were on the ice for five of MCLA's seven goals in that time frame. Lozowchuk and the Trailblazers are back in action this Thursday when they play host to Anna Maria for a game at the Veteran's Memorial Ice Rink. The puck drops at 7:30 PM.
