O'Brien earns ECHA Goalie of the Week
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— First-year goalie Katie O'Brien (Ridley Park, PA / Philadelphia Junior Flyers) has been named the ECHA Goalie of the Week. Worcester State's Katie Puumala (Framingham, MA / Winchendon School) and Fiona Hatton (Homer, AK / EC Wizards) were named the Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
O'Brien picks up goaltender of the week honors with a 61-save performance versus the Lancers of Worcester State University. The 61-save outing was both a career-high for the first-year netminder and a school-record performance for the Trailblazers. O'Brien wrapped the contest with a .910 SV%. O'Brien and the Trailblazers are back in action this Tuesday when they travel to Nichols College for a game at the June R. Levy Rink. The puck drops at 4:40 PM.
