Soccer blanked at USJ 6-0

Hartford, CT- The St. Joseph (CT) Bluejays Jenna Zup scored a pair of goals and added an assist in leading them past the visiting MCLA Trailblazers 6-0 this evening in non league play.  The Bluejays are now 4-0 while MCLA falls is 0-4.

USJ wasted little time as they immediately jumped out to a 5-0 first half advantage.  Zup scored both her goals in the opening half of play while USJ received markers from Kelsi Ursini, Elizabeth Garlock, and Marisa Brough to take the commanding lead.  They would add another goal in the second half from Ali O'Neill to round out the scoring.

USJ owned a 22-7 shot advantage on the evening.

For MCLA, Madison Breese was saddled with the loss after stopping 8 shots in the opening half of play.  Jillian Currier played the second half and notched 1 save.

The Trailblazers will open up MASCAC play on Saturday when they host Worcester State at noon.
