Soccer shutout in season finale

Bridgewater, MA- Bridgewater State received a pair of goals from Michelle Belcher as they rolled past the visiting MCLA Trailblazers 6-0 this evening in the regular season finale for both schools.  The Bears (8-7-1, 5-1-1 MASCAC) will await seeding in next week's conference tournament.  MCLA finshes its season at 0-13-1.

Bridgewater dominated the possession in the opening half and in the 20th minute, Belcher would give them the lead. She would connect off a Caitlyn Laliberte feed for an early 1-0 advantage.  The Bears would add another just before halftime, this one from Clara Woodward, to make it 2-0 at the half.

In the second half, it was more of the same.  Madelyn Morin scored in the 55th minute and just one minute later, Belcher added her second to increase the margin to 4-0.  BSU would round out the scoring with goals from Erin Clancey and Stephanie Spear.

Mady Breese and Jill Currier split time in goal for MCLA.  

BSU held a commanding 31-2 shot advantage in the win.
