Volleyball suffers 3-2 loss to Skidmore

Saratoga Springs, NY- The MCLA Volleyball team began play in the Skidmore Invitational Tournament this evening.  The Trailblazers took on the host Thoroughbreds and ultimately fell 3-2.  The loss dips MCLA to 6-5 on the season.  The Trailblazers are back at it tomorrow with matches against Sage and New Jersey City.

MCLA took the opening set 25-23 and the hosts took the next one 25-21.  The Trailblazers edged them in the third at 25-23 before Skidmore forced a fifth set after a 25-22 in the fourth.  The Thoroughbreds closed out MCLA by virtue of a 15-8 fifth set to earn the win.

Chloie Garber once again was outstanding notching 21 kills on the night.  She added 11 digs in defeat.  Kelly Moczulski added a season best 18 kills and ended with 18 digs for the Trailblazers.  Natasha Stewart dished out a career best 52 assists for MCLA.  She also added 11 digs.

Ellie Walter-Goodspeed ended with a team best 24 digs for MCLA.

The Trailblazers play tomorrow at 11am.
