Volleyball splits on day two of Skidmore Invitational

Saratoga Springs, NY- The MCLA Volleyball team split a pair of matches this afternoon on day two of the Skidmore Invitational.  The Trailblazers took down Sage in game one 3-0 before falling to New Jersey City 3-2 in the finale.  The Trailblazers are now 7-6 on the season.

Sage vs. MCLA

MCLA took this one by set scores of 25-20, 25-15, and 25-19 to earn the win.  Reagan Scattergood was outstanding in game one with 13 kills on just 28 attacks.  She added 10 digs to complete the double double.  Chloie Garber chipped in with 11 kills in the win and added 14 digs.  Natasha Stewart collected a match best 35 assists in the win.

MCLA vs. New Jersey City

In game two, the Trailblazers were down 2-1 before rallying with a 25-21 win in the fourth set to tie things up at 2-2.  In the decisive fifth set, MCLA fell 15-10.

Garber was outstanding in game two collecting 19 kills and 10 digs.  Scattergood was equally effective ending with 17 kills and 14 digs in defeat.  Stewart filled the stat sheet to the tune of 40 assists and 16 digs.  She added four aces.

Kelly Moczulski chipped in with 11 kills and 19 digs in the loss.

MCLA is back in action on Thursday when they head to Nichols College.
