Garber named MASCAC Rookie of the Year in Volleyball

North Adams, MA-- MCLA first year right side hitter Chloie Garber (Eagle River, Alaska) has been named the MASCAC Rookie of the Year.  Garber was selected following a vote of the leagues coaching staff.  She becomes the second straight Trailblazer to earn the honor as teammate Kelly Moczulski earned the nod back in 2019.

Garber's numbers speak for themselves as she ranks among the league leaders in most offensive categories.  She led the league in kills with 339 and amassed 255 digs as well.  She added in 34 aces and 31 total blocks to her stat line.  During the course of the season, Garber racked up four weekly awards for top rookie as well.

She ended the season well with 18 straight matches in double figure kills.  Garber was clearly not one dimensional as she collected 16 double doubles on the season as well.

Garber's best stat line of the season came in a loss against Skidmore with 21 kills and 11 digs. She amassed double figure kills in every MASCAC match this season.

Garber and the Trailblazers advanced to the MASCAC semifinals where they were defeated by the top seeded Worcester State Lancers.
