Women's Cross Country competes for first time in nearly two years at Williams

Williamstown, MA—The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams began their 2021 season this afternoon as they made the short trip over to Williams College for a dual meet.  The Ephs took the title as MCLA competed for the first time since the November 2019.

Women's Race

In the women's race, Domenica Gomez was the top finisher for the Trailblazers covering the 5k track in 31:14.  Right behind her was Brooke DiGennaro as she completed the course in 31:16. 

Ashley Ciafardo was next across for MCLA and she was followed by Lori LesterSarah Williams and Sarah McMahon rounded out the runners this afternoon. 

Men's Race

In the men's 5k race, David Babineau was the top finisher with a time of 19:15.  Patrick Casagrande was next with a solid time of 21:54.

Mike Bankowski ran the course in 26:05 while Marquis Wilson and Garrett Brunette competed as well.

Both Trailblazer squads will be back in action this weekend when they compete at Smith College.
