Nolan tabbed as MASCAC Pitcher of the Week after shutting out Framingham State

North Adams, MA- MCLA senior right hander Liam Nolan was selected as the MASCAC Pitcher of the Week after not allowing a run in two appearances for the Trailblazers.  Nolan was joined on the weekly honor sheet by a pair of Westfield State Owls.  Colin Dunn was named the conference's player of the week while Vincenzo Camera earned the MASCAC Rookie of the Week.

Nolan appeared in two games last week coming out of the bullpen for 2/3 of an inning against Springfield, but then went the distance in a commanding 2-0 win over Framingham State.  Nolan went all seven innings and allowed just four hits in that contest.  He struck out 7 Rams and issued just a lone walk to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Nolan currently sports a 2.18 ERA on the season after three starts.  He's recorded 19 strikeouts to date in just over 20 innings of work.  The right hander has limited opposing to hitters to just a .213 batting average over his three appearances.

The Trailblazers are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Anna Maria in a game to be played at the New England Baseball Complex.  MCLA is scheduled to host Fitchburg State University on Saturday to resume conference play.
