Mission:

Our mission is to provide the highest possible health care to the NCAA Intercollegiate Program and its student-athletes. The Sports Medicine staff will prevent, rehabilitate, manage, and diagnose injuries so that the athletes will have a quick, successful recovery and return to participation as soon as possible.

The Sports Medicine Staff work under the supervision of our Team Physician and work in conjunction with MCLA’s Health Services. They strive to provide our student-athletes with the best health care possible.

Our Health Staff is comprised of over 60 years of experience in the health care industry. Along with providing student-athletes with their health care needs, we also work with the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP). In working with the program we provide athletic training students with experiences from different clinical settings. Each year the athletic training students have two Approved Clinical Instructors (ACI) or Clinical Instructors (CI) which they are assigned through the year. Each semester the student athletic trainer will be exposed to a different clinical setting/sport while being an integral part of that athletes healthcare experience.
