Clarence Givhans earns MASCAC Player of the Week.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Senior outfielder Clarence Givhans (Brooklyn, NY / Lincoln) has been named the MASCAC Player of the Week. Bridgewater State's Matthew Seavey (North Attleboro, MA) and Worcester State's Ryan Jewett (Natick, MA) were named the Pitcher of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Givhans batted .667 (8-for-12) with an on-base percentage of .789 and a slugging percentage of 1.750 with a double, four home runs, nine RBI, six walks, six runs scored, and three stolen bases in four games for the Trailblazers. He picked up a save while also going 2-for-2 at the plate with a home run, two RBI, two walks, and two stolen bases in the Trailblazers' 5-4 win over Mass. Maritime. The outfielder went 4-for-4 with two home runs, five RBI, a walk, and four runs scored in the setback to Framingham State. Givhans and the Trailblazers are back in action this Tuesday when they play host to Williams College at Joe Wolfe Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 6 PM.
