Greenberg Named First Team All-Conference; Harris named MASCAC 2nd-Team All-Conference

Buzzards Bay, Mass. — MCLA's senior Jon Greenberg was voted MASCAC first-team all-conference.  He averaged 15.5 points per game and a league leading 12.2 rebounds per game. It's the third straight season Greenberg has led the conference in rebounding. Greenberg also chipped in with 1.2 blocks per game. Greenberg was the catalyst on a team that went 16-8, including a ten game winning streak and finished second in the MASCAC and earned a first round bye in the MASCAC Tournament. It's the teams best season in over a decade.

Junior Chris Harris was named to the team for the second consecutive season. Harris does a little bit of everything for the Trailblazers. Harris averaged 12.8 points per game and 5.5 rebounds a night. Harris is also in the top ten in the league in assists, steals and 3 point field goal percentage.

Salem State University junior forward Brian Clark has been named as the 2010-11 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year and heads the league's all-conference squad in a vote taken of the conference's seven coaches.

A native of Deerfield, Mass., Clark averaged a league-leading 21 points per game while chipping in with 6.7 rebounds per contest during the regular season, as he led the Vikings to their second MASCAC regular season crown in three seasons with an overall mark of 19-6, including an 11-1 league slate.

Westfield State University freshman guard Andrew Morgan (Somerset, N.J.) was tabbed as the 2010-11 MASCAC Rookie of the Year after averaging 7.6 points and 2.7 rebounds during his inaugural collegiate campaign, while Salem State University's Chris Harvey was honored by his peers as the 2010-11 MASCAC Turfer Coach of the Year for the second time in three seasons after leading the Vikings to 19 victories and their second regular season crown in the last three years.

Clark and Greenberg were joined on the 2010-11 MASCAC first-team all-conference squad by Bridgewater State's Nicholas Motta, Westfield State's Matt Devine and Framingham State's Royce Veal.

The 2010-11 MASCAC second-team all-conference squad consisted of Bridgewater State's Judah Jackson, Worcester State's Dave Douillette, Framingham State's Marcus Mclaurin, Salem State's Apollos Wade and Harris.
