MCLA can't keep pace with Keene, Fall to Owls 103-75

North Adams, MA- The visiting Keene State Owls sprinted past the MCLA Trailblazers 103-75 this evening to improve to 4-0.  MCLA falls to 1-3 with the setback.  The Owls placed five players in double figures, led by Derek D'Amours who finished with 21.

Keene came running out of the gates and quickly built a 15 point lead at the 8:51 mark of the opening half (29-14) following an Anthony Mariano jumper.  They would go into the locker room with a comfortable 51-34 lead.

The second half was more of the same fast paced tempo.  The lead quickly grew to 24 on an Eric Fazio layup with sixteen minutes to play.  MCLA would get no closer than 18 the rest of the way.

The physical contest took its toll on the players as there were 68 fouls in the contest.

Joining D'Amours in double figures were Fazio with 15 followed by Mariano's 13.  Steve Boudreau and Rashad Wright each finished with 12.  Montel Wolcott had a game high 11 boards.

For MCLA, Tyriq Rochester and Jamal Brown each finished with 11 points.  Rochester added 7 rebounds.

The Trailblazers will return to the court on Sunday when they host Williams at 6pm.
