MCLA downed by Williams in Men's Basketball 84-59

North Adams, MA- Visiting Williams College shot a torrid 62% from the floor as they pulled away from MCLA 84-59 in Men's Basketball.  With the win, the Ephs improve to 3-1 while the Trailblazers fall to 1-4.

MCLA was led by Tyriq Rochester, who finished with 14 points.  Tyrell Mosley added 11.  Williams placed three in double figures with Daniel Wohl leading the way with 18 points.  James Klemm chipped in with 16 and Michael Mayer added 12.

MCLA never led in the contest as Mayer knocked down a three on the opening possession.  The Ephs would sprint out to a 28-13 lead with 6:01 remaining until halftime before settling for a 39-28 cushion at the break.

In the second half, MCLA quickly scored the first two buckets to pull within seven at 39-32, but back to back three pointers from Klemm and Jordan Mickens, followed by a Taylor Epley layin pushed the margin back to 15.  MCLA would never seriously threaten again.

Williams' torrid shooting included going 10-17 from three point range.  The Ephs also held a 38-32 edge off the glass.  Williams had 20 assists on their 26 made field goals as well.

Rochester added 9 rebounds for MCLA before fouling out.  Mosley added 5 assists on the night.

The Trailblazers return to action on Friday night when they travel to Southern Vermont for the Tri-State Shootout.  They will face RPI in the opening round.
