Brown earns MASCAC Player of the Week honors

North Adams, MA- MCLA senior forward Jamal Brown has been named the MASCAC player of the week.  The honor comes after the Springfield, MA native averaged a double double effort of 20 points and 10 rebounds in a trio of games.  It is the first honor for Brown during the 2011-2012 season.

Brown's best effort came in a road win at Framingham when he went for a career high 25 points and 14 rebounds in MCLA's 68-59 victory.  He would follow that effort up with 22 points and 9 caroms in a comeback win over Fitchburg State.  He shot an impressive 62% from the field on the week converting 24-39 field goal attempts.

Brown will lead MCLA into a key MASCAC matchup on Wednesday night when they host the Bridgewater State Bears at 7:30pm.
