Trailblazer Men earn road win at Fisher 100-86

Lynn, MA- The MCLA Men's Basketball team placed four players in double figures as the Trailblazers went on the road to defeat Fisher College 100-86 Tuesday night.  MCLA improves to 2-1 on the young season while Fisher drops to 3-4.

MCLA was paced by Ruben DelRosario and Jeremic Bennett who each finished with 21 points.  Paul Maurice added 16 points while Kraig Page chipped in with a double double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Trailblazers trailed by five at halftime (44-39) before exploding in the second half to earn the victory going away.  MCLA quickly took the lead in the second half and led 62-60 with 11:55 left to play before going on a run to put the game away.

MCLA went on a 21-8 run to jump out to a commanding 83-68 lead.  The Trailblazer lead grew to as many as 19 before settling on the final score.

Bennett was 6-12 from the floor and added 5 boards.  DelRosario went 7-11 from the field and a team best 5 assists.  Maurice knocked down a trio of three pointers en route to his 16 points, while Page added 4 steals in the win.

Fisher was paced by Kyle Holmes who finished with 18 points off the bench.  Ira Haywood added 17 while Chris Green chipped in with 13.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Saturday when they travel to NYU for a non conference matchup.
