Men's and Women's Basketball well represented on MASCAC All Academic Team

Winter MASCAC All Academic Team 2015

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Men's and Women's basketball teams were well represented on the recently announced MASCAC All Academic Team.  Led by six selections to the women's team, MCLA placed 11 Trailblazers on the roster.

A total of 373 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection tothe league's Winter 2015 All-Academic Team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Student-athletes that compete in championship varsity sports offered by each of the MASCAC institutions during the course of the Winter 2015athletic season and have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average during the semester are eligible for selection to theWinter All-Academic.

Westfield State University placed the most student-athletes on the Winter 2015 MASCAC All-Academic Team with 83 total, while Bridgewater StateUniversity (71), Worcester State University (68) and Fitchburg State University (65) followed."I want to applaud all the MASCAC student-athletes who were named to the Winter MASCAC All-Academic Team," Commissioner Baumann said."It is a great accomplishment to see our student-athletes succeed both outside on the field of competition and in the classroom."
