Men's Basketball ends season with 88-54 loss at Bridgewater

Bridgewater, MA- The Bridgewater State University men's basketball team forced 31 turnovers and placed four players in double figures as the Bears rolled by the MCLA Trailblazers 88-54 in the MASCAC regular season finale for both schools.  The Bears (14-11, 7-5 MASCAC) clinched the third seed in next week's MASCAC championships with the win. 

MCLA concludes their season at just 2-22 and went winless in conference play at 0-12.

Bridgewater was paced by Greg Romanko and Rocky DeAndrade who each finished with 12 points.  Romanko knocked down four three pointers for his team high.  Fawaz Mass and Rayshon Ward each ended with 10 points for the Bears.

BSU started fast jumping out to an 8-2 lead and never looked back as they never trailed.  In the first half, the lead quickly grew to double figures and they led 42-27 at halftime.  In the second half, MCLA never challenged as they trailed by as many as 34 points.

The Bears defense forced a season worst 31 turnovers by the Trailblazers.  Those turnovers translated into 35 points for the Bears.  The BSU bench also was strong as they outscored MCLA 37-13 on the afternoon.  Bridgewater shot a solid 52% from the floor in the win.

MCLA's Keiland Cross was the lone Trailblazer in double figures ending with 14 points and 13 rebounds.  The game marked the final one in a Trailblazer uniform by senior Travis Rice.  He ended with 4 points on the afternoon.
