Golf opens up play in NEIGA Championships
Brewster, MA- The MCLA Golf team opened up play in the NEIGA Championships held at the Captains Club in Brewster, MA this afternoon under blustery conditions. MCLA is in 21st place following the first round and will compete again tomorrow.
Nick Young paced MCLA with an 85 which has him in a tie for 67th. Mitch Mullett was the next Trailblazer checking in with a 90. Other Trailblazers to compete included Jonathan Kolis, Nate Gutmann, and Chris Merriman.
Endicott's Austin Teal is leading the tournament after posting a two over par 74. Husson College is leading the team competition with a 313, good enough for a three stroke lead over Rhode Island College. Babson and UMass Dartmouth are tied for third place just six shots back.
